Community Transformation. Every Day.
The Local Good Collective exists to make it easy to love local and do good. As we all join in, lives change and our community flourishes.
The Local Good Story
As the DFW metroplex grows, its underserved communities face unmet critical needs. All of us want our community to flourish, but we’re not always sure how to help. That’s why Chase Oaks Church started the Local Good Collective: we want to meet critical needs with dignity and make it easy for everyone to join in. Because here, we believe there is common ground around the common good.
2005 Chase Oaks Church Is Here For Good
Chase Oaks Church's DNA, the set of guiding principles that define the church, includes one key statement: “We Are Here For Good.” Chase Oaks loves in unexpected ways with surprising generosity as they seek to meet brokenness, need, and injustice with hope.
2014 Chase Oaks Family Center Begins
Out of that DNA, Chase Oaks launched the Chase Oaks Family Center, a community space in Plano designed to serve the most vulnerable in our community.
2021 Local Good Center Launches
After outgrowing the original space, the Chase Oaks Family Center moved down the street and launched as the Local Good Center, a nonprofit in Plano designed to create lasting good by providing access and holistic care to help address root causes of poverty.
2023 Local Good Pantry Meets Needs
Critical needs in DFW continue to grow, including the need for accessible food and essentials. When a neighborhood food pantry in Richardson shuts down, Chase Oaks is asked to help meet the need, and the Local Good Pantry is born.
2024 Local Good Coffee Co. Creates Connections
Hundreds move to DFW every day, and loneliness affects all of us. Chase Oaks starts Local Good Coffee Co. in Plano as a way to connect with everyone in the community, regardless of faith journey. The best part? As a nonprofit, every purchase funds community transformation, making doing good every day easier than ever.
2025 Local Good Resale Expands Impact
Opening in early 2025, Local Good Resale in Plano will connect people to high-quality home goods at an affordable price. Each purchase will fund the nonprofits of the Local Good Collective, which means every donation and every dollar stays local and does good.
